I haven't been to HarCo for any length of time in about 20 years, just sharing a fact that it's always been a problem.

It's been an issue for as long as I've been alive, and all over the place, not just in the city. I can remember seeing "no littering" signs in Harford County in the 80s.

Oh that's annoying. I'm sorry. Insurance is such a racket, and they know they can charge whatever they want because it's so tied into things.

I was a Geico customer since 1997. They increased my rate by $400 every 6 months and couldn't give a reason why.
I jumped to my husband's insurance - Erie - and am satisfied with that change.

Yeah - that's the other thing. You'd need a QT room, basically, for any fostered critters. I had a 2bed apartment, so that was easy enough for me, but it's still hard.

This is very sweet.
Be aware, reptile rescue is a very difficult thing. Even if you're just fostering, it can be difficult, because people are often HORRIBLE to their scaly pets. I did it for a year and it broke me - I'm out of the hobby completely, now.

All I can say is I'm sorry. It sucks. Consider therapy (I know I'll get downvoted but it can HELP with trauma recovery, and this is a form of trauma). I hope you're able to get past it.

At your age I was working for a children's clothing boutique (The Children's Place) at White Marsh Mall. You absolutely can get a job that isn't McD's.
Just apply everywhere. See what sticks.

You know, I forgot about that. Honestly - every area has its own little sketchball area, because humans create them simply by existing in proximity to each other. It really helps to VISIT the area and look around.

A friend lives in a REALLY NICE carriage home off Rt 7 in Aberdeen. I'd live in her neighborhood.
I strongly suggest visiting the area. Go drive around during the day and at night, midweek and on the weekend. Some areas of Aberdeen are SUPER SKETCH (we used to call it Aberdump back when Joppatowne was a nice place to live). Someone else mentioned the booms from APG - this is normal, you'll get used to it. Don't hang anything fragile on the walls. Don't put anything fragile in an open-front bookshelf or cabinet. I can't tell you how many tchotchkes we found on the floor after a particularly active day. Also we used to get mustard gas warnings, so don't be shocked when that happens.
A plus: you're pretty close to Havre de Grace, which is a cute little town to visit. There's also a really good liquor store up in Elkton, State Line, which carries the best mead I've ever consumed.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but the Maryland Natural History Society does field trips to beaches to look for fossils.
(They're also a neat little museum and worth a visit.)

Since we're sorta talking about shooting people, I assumed folks would understand I meant you can't shoot a guy for stealing your TV...since LOTS of folks assume gun ownership = you can shoot a guy for stealing your TV.
But yes, you're correct on all points. Hell I even carried renters' when I was dating-but-living-with my then-boyfriend, because his homeowners' would not cover my stuff and renters' is cheap as heck.
