This. I’m not a gun guy but did grow up around them and went hunting when I was a kid. Things like knowing the target, not aiming a gun at anything you don’t intend to kill, treating every firearm as if it was loaded, etc. are some of the rules I thought were universal. Guess not anymore. State and federal are too afraid to even talk about the safety rules anymore because they know right wingers will cry “mah freedums.”

I hope you are successful it does sound like a long shot. When this Lenny fella moved to PA do you know the town or general area? I think that would be your best chance. PA is full of small and medium sized towns where everyone knows everyone. He and your dad sound like pretty cool dudes I’m sure people from that town would remember. Good luck.

See this is why everyone makes fun of MAGA and conservatives in general. If you had any clue about actually policy you would know the Biden admin border policy is basically identical to Trump. Just because he would go on Fox News and yell at the people you don’t like that doesn’t mean shit bro. There used to be a saying when I was a kid, that and a quarter get you a phone call.

Dude this is the stupidest talking point. Starting in the early 20th century, there was a complete party re-alignment. In Lincoln’s time, the Republican Party was the “left” party and the Democrats were the “right” party. Literally anyone who’s “checked the facts” should know this. It’s not even controversial.

I get that at some point you have to say “is this really worth it” but that’s part of the problem. Public services shouldn’t be exclusive to whether you live somewhere that makes enough money or not. The road were supposed to be addressed years ago with such a high gasoline tax which everyone pays. They spent it on the state police instead. Almost $500 million IIRC. That’s a lot of new road.

We do care and we appreciate the compliment thank you. I’ve been saying for years that this state is a little bit of a hidden gem even if you aren’t the outdoors type. I grew up in the Appalachian Mountain. It’s obviously not some economic powerhouse but it’s not super poor like the rest of Appalachia.

Btw the roads thing is a common complaint almost a meme at this point.

It’s very cynical but that’s the kind of stuff people want to read.

Side note, why the hell are the Columbia County people saying they are “pursuing death penalty.” There hasn’t been an execution here in almost 30 years. The state legislature really needs to get that off books already.
