Looks like it wasn’t just a rumor. Doesn’t mean they are from here though just apprehended here. I-80 runs through Monroe very well could have been pulled over while traveling.

I don’t think many people under 40 even know what Ames is I guess “department store” is the best way to describe it.

Garnishing someone’s bank account or wages in PA is serious business and will need a separate court order. I’m not even sure the magistrate can even do that something like that might need to come from the court of common pleas.

Reply to Piles of road salt where maintenance trucks idle are appearing everywhere. Question on reduction of waste. by snuffy_tentpeg
It depends my understanding is PennDot actually uses a heavy brine solution now opposed to regular rock salt. What you borough does probably varies but I’m pretty salt dispensers can be turned on and off from the cab as well as the amount of salt being put down adjusted. You would think the drivers would turn it off if they are going to be idling for more than just a minute. It’s wasteful but rock salt is pretty cheap stuff.

Reply to comment by [deleted] in Pennsylvania politics are heated. It soon could be utter chaos by Yelloeisok
I understand it perfectly. The republicans are doing shenanigans with the “majority” because they are trying to contest the “total” and push back special elections that will settle it definitively. It’s not that hard.
We made it clear last month we don’t want this MAGA shit here anymore. Move to fucking Florida or Alabama if you want MAGA.

Have someone overnight it to you if you need it immediately. Would be cheaper and you don’t need to spend 10 hours driving.

Reply to Becoming a PA Resident - Can I apply for car title transfer/tags the same day I go to get my PA license? by crispyedamame
I’m not sure but if you are going to PennDOT in person check online and make sure they are open. Many offices are only open part of the week. Also I would try going on a day they aren’t giving exams there are WAY fewer people. For example the one near me is there Wed, Thur, Fri but they only do license exams on Friday. I went Wednesday morning a few months ago to renew my ID and didn’t have to wait at all.

Reply to What is the healthcare system like here for those with Medicaid ? And how are mental health services? by Riverrun221
Lots of good advice here. I’ve never been on it myself but from what I’ve gathered, which the expanded medicaid the application process is actually quite easy and doesn’t take super long. Back in the day it used to be a giant booklet.
As far as mental health services go it will of course be highly dependent on where you live. PA is a very “average” state overall in things like public services so my hunch is that we are pretty average in access. I live in a smallish town and access isn’t that bad although you typically do need to travel a bit for a specialist sometimes.

Do you have any examples of this because you aren’t allowed to do this. This has come up so much in the past week there is no way this is organic is this the narrative right wing media has latched on to?
