I have to wonder what kind of situation the police would be using that kind of discretion to arrest …if merely filming an interaction would require it than the initial situation must be quite severe to a lay person.

If cameras mean that they have to arrest every time then we should be promoting them and removing officer discretion to make the arrests.

People are given to mo many chances when it comes to driving these large metal boxes that can kill others.

I bet you on average the advice to turn off the phones would save more people than it harms.

Imagine how many people pulled over with a game playing on their phone or a movie , cop will see that and ticket for distracted driving.

I’m in favor of striking the cellphone section though because I’m smart enough so this wouldn’t affect me.

Gosh I wish they would ticket the people on the end of a thoroughfare used by school and city buses, people parking 30 feet infront of a stop sign AND next to a fire hydrant. The intersection has become so stressful I no longer want to use it (because you have to doge incoming traffic that’s coming down the street on their legal side. Mean yours is blocked by cars forcing you to cross the line into the other lane.

I feel sorry for the woman killed in the crash, sounds like the dumbass got the bike the day before and decided to take her for a quick spin. Maybe she thought he would do a quick lap around the block at safe speeds and this guy decided to give her a little fright.

Which ends up killing them both.

So so tragic for her and her family. My condolences.

It’s RI , ocean views are everywhere. It’s only what, the past decade that the state has begun to gentrify. Before that it was dying mills and people fleeing for better job opportunities.

If you had gotten here after the Great Recession it’s entirely possible a lower middle class person could have bought a home with ocean views.

Download Zilliow and look at some of the old sales prices.

I don’t care about your household budget but please please do not be driving ridiculously old used Hondas if you absolutely don’t have too.

Massive safety improvements for all cars after 2006 and certainly since 2015. I’m not saying you NEED to be driving a 2023 but if you’re gonna live out here with potholes , tight streets , tourists etc then you should make sure that the safety systems in your cars are up to modern standards.
