I hope everyone reading this will go out and get a front and back dash cam, many even come with parking alert too ( if someone hits you and takes off the camera comes on after detecting the impact).

Irrefutable proof is one of the best ways we can protect our communities and get malicious drivers off our streets for good.

Over the years I caught two accidents , the first one someone got T-Boned at just a really poorly designed intersection as the oncoming driver was turning left. ( that intersection got some improvements after all the accidents) .

The second one, some 23 year old punk was speeding going 100 something down the freeway in his shitbox when he lost control at a bend , slammed into the freeway wall on his left , then ricocheted to his right , T-boning another drive who was in his lane just minding his own business. Caused the victims car to flip over a few times and it landed on its roof.

The man was able to climb out of his car with all the assistance of the other enraged drivers who had just seen what had happened. Literally every person who came up from behind pulled over to give a statement to the cops.

I still feel sorry for the guy, he was driving an older well kept SUV , I could clearly see he had newish tires on. When they checked him out and asked him if he wanted an ambulance he waved them away. I regret not walking over to him and explaining that once the adrenaline wore off he was going to be in a world of pain come the next day. (Although I do understand not wanting to pay for the ambulance especially if it could be out of pocket, remember other guys driving a shitbox) .

At the very least I was able to give them the entire footage of the punk speeding , rounding the bend and then losing control. While he did pull over I hope he doesn’t get to drive till he’s 30.

These days we almost have to do the job of the police if we want justice but man does it feel GOOD.

That was back before the era of camera phones and body cams.

They try to ignore you like that today you could simply pull out your phone to record the interaction. They would literally have no choice but to act unless they wanted to lose their jobs (maybe 🤷🏿‍♂️)

I mean the cops are human beings, most people don’t have the same level of compassion that you speak of when having to deal with the drug addicts and the mentally Ill on the daily. Their basically human dog catchers running around the city constantly having to deal with these folks and their issues.

By and large the cops tend to be compassionate enough when dealing with them but obviously their going to have times where they just get frustrated with their behavior 🤷🏿‍♂️

But why would they take her to a new facility when the hospital stated she was fine and ordered her removed ? Wouldn’t she have been arguing with the cops when they arrived that she needed more care , then I’m sure the hospital staff would have argued back that she’s fine and needs to go.

After she’s with the police of course their going to think she was faking it in order to go back to said hospital she was just removed from.

It definitely sounds like the failure was on the hospital.

I mean your final point is the most realistic one.I’d guess the assumption the police would make would just be your run of the mill mentally Ill drug addicted homeless person or some such.

If the hospital says she’s been attended to and needs to be removed from the premises then what more can they do ? The police are not doctors qualified to overrule the hospital.

You run their daily now…as time goes on it’s likely you’ll change your pattern.

Attack after attack after attack on women joggers all over the country when encampments get set up is just how these things play out .

It’s not their fault because many of them are mentally Ill but that does nothing for women who might want to walk in their own neighborhood unmolested.

In an ideal world we would have long term humane mental institutions but currently we do not.

We are part of society WE set standards. I don’t think it’s too much to ask that if people are going to be out and about that they not be walking around with their pants at their ankles in broad daylight at the bus center with children around.I have literally seen it over there.

If these folks are going to utilize the public transportation system that we the tax payer fund then standards of behavior SHOULD be enforced.

These folks cannot get it together on their own, WE as society have to be the ones to set the rules for them.

Some of the addicts are quite visible in Kennedy plaza, arrest them, throw them into jail or prison for however long it takes for them to go sober, inform them that visible drug usage will not be tolerated ☝️

Upon release get them into monitored community housing, provide them with work , get them back on their feet.

If they relapse then back to prison with them.

Yes this is a slightly unusual case because he wasn’t in uniform or in a marked patrol car .

The defense of not knowing or believing he was actually an officer is definitely a valid one here.

Where I live you don’t have to stop for unmarked patrol cars if they try to pull you over.

Not bootlickers, most of us are just law abiding citizens. When I was a teenager my mother had the “conversation” with me about what to do if the police pull you over (because I’m black).

When people do crazy things like flee the police or utilize violence against the police , it simply doesn’t make any sense to those us out there who are sane and haven’t ever had any substance abuse issues.

We tend the give the police the benefit of the doubt because they deal with these types on a daily basis and thus have far more experience with these populations than your average citizen.

Call it a societal disconnect if you would, obviously if I sat on a jury I would be mostly unbiased but I’d expect in all but the most extreme circumstances to be siding with the police.

I can’t imagine why anyone would leave TN unless they’re getting priced out, that place is HOT .

Nashville has to be the city I’ve had the most fun in for the last decade. Way better than Vegas. Wish I could afford a home there and I don’t even care for country music all that much lol
