Every time there's an article about this, everyone conflates internet and cable services. This article/survey/discussion is about cable television only, not internet availability/service/options.

Survey results don't surprise me at all, though I don't see how bringing in another service will may a huge difference considering the contracts that Charter needs to sign with content providers to be able to carry them. Hence why you always see end-of-year commercials about "DirectTV will not longer be carrying TimeWarner channels" or things like that.

I can agree that their prices were getting outrageous which is why I dropped cable tv a few years ago.

Yeah, it's a crazy intersection to begin without adding in emergency vehicles.

I don't have much knowledge of what happens when an emergency vehicle signals that they need to get through an intersection, but it's not like it flips immediately. My guess was more that maybe traffic on Plantation St (or vice-versa) had been waiting for the light and shortly after they received the green a request came in to change so it was only green for a couple of cars and those behind might not have looked or assumed it was still green if there was solar glare or something.

> Yesterday I was driving through the intersection of art 9 and plantation street and apparently we all had the green light at the same time because all of us went at once. It was terrifying. Has this ever happened to any of you at any big intersections in Worcester? Thank you.

Never recall it happening to me, but is it possible that you didn't see an emergency vehicle?

Wonder if it's also possible that a light changed was forced by an upcoming emergency vehicle shortly after a light change which wasn't noticed by people at that light.

They just knocked down the old Sylvan(?) learning building which I hope is done in plans to merge the two streets as I don't see how keeping both Brooks and Pullman intersections at Mountain St W is feasible with the added traffic.

Even merging those two, it's going to definitely have a large impact on the Mountain St W/Frontage Rd/Brooks intersection.

I've seen this place mentioned in other threads and my MIL recently switched and all it took was a phone call:

https://www.masspowerchoice.com/worcester

Reading through the site I don't really see a downside unless Nat Grid drops below the posted rates (in which case you seem to be easily able to switch back.)

The one thing I haven't seen yet is if all the other delivery fees will change, but from a kw/h view it should meet your criteria.

Could definitely fund something unique and fun at Crompton; or just stroll through a WalMart/TJMaxx/Homegoods.

why would a human trafficking scheme be interested in every family and their kids, using a loose grasp of the English language, with vague details, with further details only to be revealed for those who directly message the user?

Probably attempting to catch views with the headline and trying to get more people interested in a 5G hotspot. While it does read as if there will be hardwired fiber connections, 70,000 homes and businesses across 7 towns/cities isn't a whole lot of coverage. Hopefully it will lead to additional buildouts over time, as I thought they were already done expanding.

That is a really good point that I didn't consider. It is kind of an asshole move to push the development of that park as something that would help usher more business into the area just to turn around and make a huge initiative to highlight the food that's available inside the park like Wonder Bar pizza, Coney Island, BT's.

Outside of the stationary offerings, they also have the 'Taste of Worcester' rotating restaurant offering different local restaurants the opportunity to provide their food. Which, on the surface seems like a decent opportunity for local restaurants but screws over the Canal District places that shouldn't need to pay more for the opportunity to be seen after being sold on more foot traffic.
