A long time, but we were using plastic lines then. No vacuum other than that created by gravity.

I didn't know that was possible, and I actually took a syrup course in college.

I'm in southern NH too, so I'll probably do it in early Feb unless it's too cold.

To me it's been feeling like that over the past couple weeks, but maybe it will get really cold again in February.

Canned food is cooked while inside the sealed can. You get botulism from canned food when the can is compromised or leaking, allowing the bacteria to get in and grow on the food.

Never pick up the phone for numbers you don't recognize. They use the fact that you picked up as evidence that calling you more often might be productive.

Consuelos in Manchester has some truly delicious burritos. Try the chile verde.
I can confirm that Rincon in Manchester has good food.
Michoacana Market in Nashua has great tacos. It's a bodega, so don't plan on sitting down. Supposedly the tortas are very good there, but I haven't tried them.

I'll second (or third) the DCU suggestion. They're reasonable and honest.

They might mean that it's too warm to get a good sugar harvest. I don't think the warmth would kill the trees.
beyond_hatred t1_j2lpuk8 wrote
That's messed up. Trees can be injured by coming out of their winter state too early, then getting hit with a hard freeze. That must happen pretty frequently with sugar maples, though. Hopefully they've evolved to tolerate it.

Bruster's in Nashua has some pretty awesome ice cream. Dr. Davis in Pepperell also has a few good flavors.

I enjoy their Blizzard ice cream thing, but the rest of their food is pretty bad. Anything on the menu I should try besides their nasty chili dogs?

I used an office UPS hooked up to my car battery years ago to save my Congo tetras. Connect the UPS terminals to your car battery and idle your car in the driveway for an hour or so to let the tank warm up and keep the filter alive.
Or just get a real inverter and connect that to your idling car.
Or get a real generator which is way less hassle altogether.
Good luck.

I barely smoke at all, myself. I just want consistency. If the state government itself can sell and profit from a much more harmful and addictive substance, I don't see where they get off telling anyone whether they can smoke a little weed. It doesn't make any sense, and for most people that oppose legalization, their opposition just boils down to not liking the people who want it - i.e. "hurting the right people".

I know, but it was a midterm. Democrats don't generally show up the way they should.
I'm just saying that for the sake of preserving his job, he should give on the cannabis issue. I mean, it's not likely anyone has genuine moral qualms about cannabis any more. Why give yourself a vulnerability for no reason?

The election? Yes, but it was the midterm. Democrats seem to be allergic to showing up for midterms.

He's gotta give at some point. It would be so easy for a Democrat to say, "I will sign any cannabis legalization bill that comes to my desk." and beat Sununu in the general election.

It's not difficult to do on a small scale, just time and energy intensive.
Last year County Stores in Milford had maple sugar supplies, and so did Tractor Supply.
