Reply to moving to bethlehem? by sloppytoptennessee
Are you able to visit first before making the decision? It totally depends on the type of place you're looking to live. Super different than Charlottesville.
FWIW I think Bethlehem is amazing and one of the biggest barriers for people moving to this area is the lack of housing, which you wouldn't have to worry about in your situation.

Are you trying to live down the block from family, or would like a 30 - 45 min drive be ok? There are many lovely towns near Berlin, but yea, would definitely visit Berlin and decide if that's somewhere you'd want to live....
Lancaster/Gorham/Jefferson/Milan/Whitefield/Dalton/etc might be more appealing.

To reach her (from her website):
-messenger to facebook.com/MauraAnnette Chappelle (you do Not need to friend me)
-if you don’t use facebook please text …. (603)915-1241 (no phone calls)

Our heat is set to 62 during the day and 60 at night, so it kicks on when it goes below that.

Reply to How many people here have wood or pellet heat? by Essarray
We got a wood stove installed in our living room this year (otherwise our home is heated by oil) - planning on it being the main source of heat for the house now.
We already had enough wood cut up from our property to last this season. Even if we hadn't, price of wood is about a third of the price for us than what we were spending on oil.
