That was actually considered the worst case scenario if we had absolutely no existing fiber, conduit, or telephone poles. We have all of those things, so the true cost won't be known until the feasibility study is completed, which will hopefully be by the end of the year.

Ok, so one, nearly everything you said is incorrect. Two, there are reasons other than cost to switch form a monopoly running on last century’s coax network.

They asked and it looked reasonable. And they’re from the community. As long as too many surveys don’t come in too often, it’s fine. If that changes, we will stop approving them

Even if Q1 applied to house sales, it still wouldn't apply to you cause the diff in value isn't high enough

That’s the problem we’re trying to solve

Scale is relative. City wide fiber is a plenty large scale to see benefits. It’s not like you and I are running fiber down the cloths line out back.
Also, the point isn’t to make money, although some models show that we can undercut Comcast and still make a profit.
