This is an interesting point. MLM seminars should always be excluded, free or otherwise. Same with large comercial events. I wouldn’t want to exclude postings from local music venues. Thankfully, our rules don’t have to be perfectly worded and we can use our digression for individual posts

I had been doing a weekly sticky post with events I pulled from the city calendar and a prompt saying that anyone could post any event in the comments. I got lazy though and stopped doing it. I've picked making the post back up, but I haven't populated it with calendar events.

I like the idea of a trial period. Would probably want to to keep it to events in Cambridge proper.

I don't get it either. This is why I'm glad the city hasn't released the name. They'd just go harass that officer at their home. All initial information seems to be pointing to the young man posing a danger to himself and others. They're doing an investigation and the officer is on administrative lead pending the results. There's not much more that is productive to be done. I'm considering writing to the city council to say this.

A 1.5" gap, god damn. Recovery is ok. I more or less have full range of motion, but still working on strength. I don't usually have pain, but I will by the end of the week if I walk to work every day. I bought an e-scooter for when I'm not feeling it. My ankle still kind of swells up randomly. How's yours?

Seconded. I’m 6 months in. The percutaneous surgery was kind of cool, though. My scar is the size of a penny

That’s one of the most entitled things I’ve read here. My god. “I’m late all the time cause I can’t stop walking." Leave sooner? Her store is in Porter. It’s got a T stop and two bus routes. Take one of those? Also, it takes me longer to drive to work than walk if I also have to park.

Yeah, you’re right. They’re not pure good, so let’s not involve them in policy decisions that directly effect them

The final result doesn’t look as good as the proposed renderings. Unfortunately, I don’t live in Boston proper, so I don’t get a say

Correct. All I’m saying is that we don’t have to seem racist to the rest of the world. There will be other black people elsewhere that will feel the same

It most certainly is, and is a crime. Assault doesn’t require physical contact or injury, just a credible threat of one. It would’ve been assault and battery if it had hit you.
Edit: I misread. It looks like it did hit you. That’s assault and battery.

We could’ve gotten to 6GHz sooner by using deeper pipelines like the Pentium line, but it would’ve resulted in poorer performance. Clock cycles per second isn’t everything, what you do with those cycles is just as if not more important.

It was three, not five. And he was running at them with a 12" knife. They tried less-than-lethal rounds first.

As far as I know, nothing. Just general fuck the police sentiment. Under most circumstances I'd be the first person to jump on that bandwagon, but the Cambridge cops are... alright, so I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. If what happened is at all close to the initial reports, then I'd say the shooting was justified.

The idea is that we as residents could benefit from postings about local events like farmers markets and bands. I could see how such a rule change could be abused.
