The weird thing is that PLA plastic is biodegradable and you could make straws from that. But I guess the average consumer would be complaining about x store serving plastic straws

Has to usually be cash so you can only gamble your own money. You just know there's multiple thousands that would play $40k in lotto if their credit balance allowed it

Yeah. I'm more specifically referring to totalitarian regimes that won't let NGO's in. Like NK is suffering massively from COVID, but they won't let the red cross do their thing independently at all.
And don't forget that the entire Black Hawk Down episode happened because Somali warlords were essentially robbing people of their food allotments right after they got out of sight of the UN peacekeepers.

With places locked down like NK and the Taliban? Not really since they won't let them in. But that's the rub I guess.

Its the conundrum we face with NK too. On one hand, 90% of the money probably goes towards the ruling elite, but on the other hand, that 10% is still preventing some people from starving.

Yeah. There's precedent too since the cops seem to always be arresting people that suddenly have a lot of injuries/death inexplicably on them.

It's not implausible. The entire South China Sea is basically a fight over what rock formation technically constitutes an "island" so Japan/Korea/Taiwan/China can claim a wider fishing territory. Think the fight for Pluto, if Pluto being a planet meant a country would gain or lose billions of dollars

Depends on if OP had the bad luck of accidentally typing on someone else's account info. In the US, if you accidentally zelle someone, you can't get it back unless you file a police report saying you were defrauded. Shit, when I was doing the downpayment on my home, it was nerve wracking entering in the wire transfer info because if you type it in wrong, you could literally just be out hundreds of thousands
