In Stamford, Mianus River park is the way to go. The main trails are fine year round. This time of year some of the less travelled ones can be slippery with leaves.

Depends on what your looking for! Good food and a a chance to met some people Probably the bar at Barcelona...the later the better in terms of the socializing.

Where are the fireball shots, Darts and sports at? Probably brickhouse or Bradfords. Tigin is much more classic irsh pub quiet. In General you could just walk down Bedford street and find the place that fits your vibe. There is some decent food here too...Fish...Mecca Noodle etc.

The Wheel is probably the best new restaurant, its on the expensive side and your probably not making new friends there but it's a good vibe and great food.

Harbor point is the recently developed part of town. There are some decent restaurants like Fortuna and a couple spots like sign of the whale have a more clubish atmosphere after dinner. There is nice little water front park down there that is nice for a walk and sunset...plenty of people walking dogs to strike up conversations with.

Colony Pizza is top tier bar pizza (like on most of the country wide best pizza lists ) and their bar is great little dive spot to hang out and watch some baseball.

In general Stamford is spread out into different neighborhoods...each has it's own little local spots. For example I swear by Vinnie's Backyard as my local dive n wings and sports but my buddies will tell you Fiddlers green is the spot for that kind of hang.

The bar at Barcelona! Tapas place that gets more social as the night goes on. Good food, good wine, good cocktails.

I'm sure there will be good baseball..not a bad way to start conversations if your into sports. Bobby Vs is the big shiny sports bar with a really nice setup and Vinnys Backyard is my go to divey sports spot with great wings. Plus driving up to Vinnie's will send you up hope street so you can see a different section of town. You could Try Casesy for this alll...it's more of a local irish pub feel.

EDIT; Fair warning, this is a bar in a strip mall...it's fantastically old and weird.

there was at least one club around before Covid. They Used to play across from hope pizza and then moved to route 1 above an autobody shop. Check Meetup.

Bingo. There are a number of lights on long ridge and high ridge for side streets that are on censors but a couple that will always run. The light on long ridge at the Yale Health center/Terrace Ave is on a timer...it's the last one before the big downhill into the bullhead intersection. It makes sense that they use this one for speed control.
