in the end though if you want a some what happy ending. Julian and Sean are super close, enough so that Cynthia and Yoko were at least on speaking terms for the sake of their kids.

Julian was doing the college tour circuit and someone asked him if he still was close with Paul. His eyes lit up and he good "Uncle Paul? I talk to him every day"
