So... you've been working for 2 decades and you didn't open a financial document from the company who MANAGED YOUR RETIREMENT PLAN because you thought you didn't have to do anything?

Worst case scenario: That letter contained a check for the balance of your 401(k). You had 60 days to roll it over into something like a traditional IRA - now you owe 10% of the balance of your 401(k) in taxes.

yuuuuuuuuuuup

and the wedding was at some fancyass manor, too

it's not like a backyard wedding or anything (Her father is a doctor, her mom a psychologist, and she and her wife are well off - earn enough to qualify for a mortgage for a ~500k house and have no student loans)

My cousin had a BBQ truck come to her wedding and they served tiny little portions of almost undercooked chicken

most of the desserts were baked by my aunt (..she is not the best cook)

it suuucked, it was 105 degrees out, 100% humidity, and I had done chemo a few days before

0/10 the first wedding I have been to was not a very good one

especially when my grandma intentionally dehydrated herself and decided not to eat so she would collapse because she didn't want to leave the wedding when we wanted to leave (6 hour drive)

and to clarify, Ancestry.com and 23andme do not allow law enforcement to use their databases for forensic genealogy.

Most of the professionals use a website called GEDMatch, which has around ~800k people who uploaded their raw DNA data that they had performed by sites such as Ancestry, 23andme, Family Tree DNA, and MyHeritage.
