Seconded. This is where my husband would have wanted our wedding if we hadn't gotten married in San Diego.

Yes, it is separate from the flat state tax. PA also has local taxes that are paid directly to the local municipality. You can look up your rate and tax collection agency here: https://munstats.pa.gov/public/findlocaltax.aspx
As someone who is originally from CA as well, local taxes were very odd to get used to.

I'm aware. I'm salaried and work 40-ish hours per week, but have worked more when needed.
Honestly, if your typical work week as a salaried employee is 55 hours, either your employer needs to hire more people, or you suck at time management.

Contracts don't override Federal or state law. Which is very clear about the requirements for being considered exempt.

Salaried does not necessarily mean exempt from overtime rules.

We got a text from PECO. First time in the 14 years I've lived in the area.

I was behind them... but when I pulled up next to them in a turn lane, it was VERY tempting to roll down my window, get him to roll down his window, and say "hey, it's really difficult to see you in this weather with your headlights off". But I resisted the temptation since I only have a 15 minute commute and don't want to get on their (or my township's PD) bad side!

They forget (or don't know) that having their headlights on isn't necessarily so they can see, it's so other people can see them!

Saw a POLICE vehicle without its lights on yesterday morning on my way to work (sleet/freezing rain). I really need to call that township and tell them to remind their officers of the law!

And my husband corrected me... he would have wanted Springton Manor (https://springtonmanorfarm.com/); which is a County of Chester property, but they have a contract with a catering/event company. So if you go there, you are stuck with their catering and there are some other choices that they restrict (DJs, Bands, etc).
But they definitely have options for if it rains - they have both indoor and outdoor facilities.
