Remember tanning places? And the head only things that you stuck your face right into? Scream, I did a few of those in my time :-0

I think I know the picture you mean.
She did in fact work at Vogue with Diana. This is a very smart and shrewd woman.
She did look great in that movie. Remember the car too? ;)
Ali went to Wellesley and graduated in 1958. While there she was part of a small local theater group. One of the members of this group was - can you guess? Erich Segal who wrote "Love Story." :-0

She was so stylish. You still see women trying to look like her. You’re 100% accurate on the hat. Linda McCartney too some great pics of Ali and Steve back in the day 📸

Plus they were 32 at the time playing 20 year old characters! And they looked 32 😎
They used to make incoming Harvard freshmen watch it all the way thru. Cruel and unusual punishment 😱

What’s weird is I distinctly remember people doing that. Anytime you went on someone’s boat in those days, there would be a bottle of that premade. I’m of Irish descent, and I think of my relatives using this stuff, and it’s horrifying 😱

Back when it was a big deal, the “Ladies Home Journal” would name someone “The Most Admired Woman In The World.” If the aforementioned woman who received the honor did something “bad” (think Liz Taylor) she would be taken off the list completely. It was Ethel Kennedy for a few years in the late Sixties, then Ali for 1970 - 2. Off course, she “Gotaway” with Steve and that was the end of that. Sick double standard then, and sadly still to some degree.
She’s wonderful, I love her. Also a very smart and well educated woman (Wellesley). Cheers! 😎

You know she got nominated for the best actress Oscar that year? Having nothing to do with her oily husband Robert Evans being president of Paramount at that time.
She is such an icon, you still see women dressing or styling themselves like her. She literally never goes out of style.
Her competition in ‘71. Glenda won it, she’d superb in that film 🎥
Actress Glenda Jackson. Women in Love. Jane Alexander. The Great White Hope. Ali MacGraw. Love Story. Sarah Miles. Ryan's Daughter. Carrie Snodgress. Diary of a Mad Housewife.

Actually not just boomers, pretty much every demographic. The generation prior to when the Boomers started being born in 1946 probably had it worst as there was no concept of sunblock.

Nice!! I believe people sell the old ones on Etsy or similar.
Just think, if you find a piece of tape with Cheryl’s hair on it, and you work at MIT, you could make your own clone from DNA 😍
