I invite you to look at the Miami thread to understand the problems faced by families in Miami on a daily basis. Quality of life is better in Philly - but the business is in Miami. That is why I am forced to spend time here - by the Surfside beach. And I still prefer Philly.

The real question is why do people visit Miami? There is nothing but beaches and clubs! And there are better (and uncontaminated) beaches in Puerto Rico...

Please do not waste your time on lawyers. Litigation is extremely expensive - and at the end of the day, you would be better served using the lawyer funds to fix your home instead of digging yourself into a debt hole.

Have you contacted the Owner? Do you have a paper trail of letters left to the Owner? Your first action should be notifying the Owner via certified mail so you can prove said Owner has been unresponsive.

I say I am from Philly even though I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I came to Philly for college at 16, then grad school and never left. I've lived the great majority of my life in Philly and formative years, my kids are born and raised here, I know almost every square mile of the City, in and out, paid wage and property taxes for the entirety of my adult life, and defended this City tooth and nail from all of the suburbanites calling us "Filthadelphia". I'm from Philly.

Shout out to all the 90's baddies who remember Strawbridge's Christmas exhibit!
