Coming from a wicked small town. I would say try and focus on events rather than bars and restaurants. If you look online or the local newspaper I'm sure you will find community activities to get you out and about with local people.

Layer, layer, layer! Can't express this enough. You might wake up to below 0, might go up to 45-50 at noon and cool back down. Also it could snow, then rain, then freeze so definitely invest in a good pair of water proof, winter boots. Or at least water proof boots (good all year round) and a few pairs or thick wool socks.

Well it all depends on what you like to do for fun and what part of ME you in bub? Southern maine has alot of fun stuff, go carting is fun, bowling can be fun too. If you are up North I would recommend a house party, maybe a hike, maybe a little mix of things.

If you go to the mouth of the presumpscot it's good for sea birds. A few Osprey live near it. I find the marsh to be the best place, because you also get king fishers.

How can you even question this? Are you some kinda... some kinda... Fool? The quality, the style... the quality... LLBean is our mother and we, as Maine people will support her. She says jump, I respond "how many boots you want me to buy bub?"
