hemp is kind of rough at first, similar to linen, but it softens over time.

look for hemp t-shirts. they will outlast cotton.

Second hand might be your best bet, if you consider that to be ethical. We got a set passed down to us and it's so much nicer than what we could afford. It's stainless.
Those are amazing pots. Beautiful, tin-lined. Just the way they used to be made. I would be so proud to own them! However, you will need to polish them, wash them by hand, and be wary of high temps with the tin lining--modern copper is usually lined with stainless, and tin has a low melting point. You have to use oil in an empty pot and salt will pit it. I would just be sure you are aware of all these things before investing in a whole set.
We love copper, it's just so beautiful, but ultimately went for stainless because of how easy it is to use. Our one "non-stick" pan is antique cast-iron, which weighs less than most modern cast iron. we also realized as we lived with our pots that we cared less about a matching set and more about how the pieces performed.

the silk ones i've bought off Slip and the knock offs on Amazon all stretch out. The shitty satin ones I bought on clearance off Urban Outfitters are great. Of course, they're not on there anymore...I certainly would go by reviews and forget brand names. good luck!

look into the zermatt line of slippers/mocs at birkenstock. they have a regular birkenstock insole, and there are different levels of outsole. some are just latex dipped (I have those) and some have actual rubber soles. all on birkenstock's website.

I love a waterproof trench coat, too, if you don't mind something longer.

It’s the cheaper version of the New York Times Wirecutter pick. I’m sorry about the arthritis—I’ve got some as well. Google wirecutter tineco.

yeah my hand can't do that!! u/Twi2122 we have this and we love it. there are other more expensive models on amazon and probably on walmart that have different doodads, but this is the specific model we have, and works great for our family of 2 humans and 3 cats.
the issue with having to constantly hold the trigger down on a dyson is a MAJOR PAIN IN THE ASS in my personal opinion, and one of the reasons we didn't go with a different one. I have fibromyalgia and I can't do that!

yep, I agree. and I can't operate anything that requires a constant trigger pull (I think their cordless ones do?)

I have these no-shows and they're the only ones i've ever owned that I don't actively hate. the silicone no-slip thing is a winner. they're thinner than your average athletic sock, but they make tons of other varieties. I haven't had any issues with them stretching out or getting holes but I don't walk around barefoot in them. they've held up great. I don't go through that many socks tbh, but I went on a quest for better ones and ended up with these. ankle socks--I don't wear them, sorry. mine are all short or tall wool ones. otherwise i'm barefoot or sock-less.

i'm pretty sure you've got an equal measure of brand loyalists and people who have bought things that lasted forever that like to recommend them to others. for example, I stumbled upon some rainboots from walmart (idk the brand) that I got probably 15 years ago that I will sing the praises of forever (I bought them because they were cheap and plain), but I am also a brand loyalist for some items.
I feel like if someone is willing to give a testimonial years after owning something, it's a better review than someone who just bought an item online and might not have even used it much yet. you get a lot of that online.

I LOVE linen. I hang dry and toss it in the dryer with a damp washcloth to kind of give it some love, or if it needs to look nicer I steam it out--but it just wrinkles and holds a wrinkle. it is what it is. it's an awesome fabric. I haven't ordered from quince but that's just because the looser cashmere cuts I like are more expensive there. several of my linen things are from j.crew recently, but i've gotten it from many places and as long as it's a certain gsm, it tends to be pretty universally good if it's 100% linen.
