I regret not picking up the LCD 2C for $450 from audeze's b stock sale this past black Friday. I don't really regret what I've bought so far (560s, Tripowin Olina, SMSL C200) since I got them all for a pretty decent price for new, though I probably could have gotten away with going for used, so maybe my regret is not keeping up with the used market.

Do you mind sharing the EQ settings you use to mimic the hd600? And if possible, where you found the presets/what your process was to get those settings?

I'd love to mess around with my 560s into "demoing" other headphones, seems like a lot of fun.

That's because you're literally plugging your ears. Your best bet would be something like the raptgo hook X, which is a more open design, or clip ons like some of the koss offerings.

As a rule of thumb, the more isolating, the more you will hear your own voice. That's why I only use open backs for playing games while on discord.

People not liking treble and discomfort doesn't make them elitist dude. You're in a community of people who are lauding the salnotes zero, the quarks dsp, nearly the entire koss budget lineup, and the apple dongle. The elitism dankpods talks about is far more delegated to forums like headfi.

What do you think is a good upgrade to go from the 560s? I enjoy basically everything about this headphone, but I would like something with better resolution and punchier bass, with a bit less heat in the treble. I was thinking the edition XS, or maybe the audeze LCD-2C. Or does it make more sense to go for something higher end, like the Arya or the LCD-X or the Clears?

I'm a little sad I didn't get the 2C for 450 from the black Friday b stock sale, but I've already spent money on a computer and some racing stuff the past couple of months and I don't have a dedicated amp/DAC yet.
