Hello! Today, I just released a new album titled LATIN PERCUSSIONARY composed and recorded with an old friend and collaborator, Minino Garay fromCordoba, Argentina.

The album is entirely instrumental and acoustic (with two or three guitars and electric basses) and includes 18 new Latin/worldmusic/experimental style compositions.

We explore, among other styles, various rhythms of Argentine folklore but adapted to rare and untraditional measures. So there are pieces in 2/4, 3/4, 6/8, 4/4, 5/4, 7/4, 9/4, 11/8, etc.

Thanks for listening and watching the great videos, below,

Regards, DD

Hello, Just yesterday, I had the pleasure to work on the digital release of a long out-of-print spoken word album Borges made reading some of his work Borges por El Mismo. As a massive Jorge Luis Borges fan it was a privilege to listen to his isolated voice (and discover some unseen session photos).

When the session was over and all 4 albums were uploaded (1 for Borges, and other albums for Corazar, Marechal and Bonzalez Tuñon) I spent the late night of Thursday and some very early hours of Friday 14th/Oct developing this impromptu composition, my “live” upright piano, some synth and samples and Borges voice from his text “Borges y Yo”

I used:

  • Acoustic upright piano (Yamaha)

  • Subdivine

  • Valhalla Supermassive

  • Thrill (K inst)

  • Symphobia (K inst)

For this challenge: disquiet 0562 Record something to help someone fall asleep

This track I created today is supposed to help somebody fall asleep and have nightmares. That's licit right?

I had this piano track recorded this summer using a guitar pick on my upright piano, along with some regularly played notes and chords. Very simple , very spacious and lovely natural sound. Just added some synth noises and Valhalla Supermassive. Easy and rewarding Thursday afternoon. Cheers DD
