He fenced his position by preemptively claiming anybody who disagrees must be getting paid, that there is no possible good faith reason to disagree. It's intellectual cowardice.
Of the three pedestrians killed in west Hartford this year, one was on a sidewalk, one was in a crosswalk, and the third was in the roadway at work directing a vehicle out of a driveway.
Outrage has been building as people have become more aware that the number of pedestrian deaths is climbing while in other developed countries it's falling. People are realizing these deaths are preventable.
