I agree though they might be useful on commercial buildings. It another building isn't blocking the light.

Reddit seems to fall into a different camp from what I can tell. There are subs that are pretty hairy but they seem more like a ghetto than a haven for hatred.

I don't see much future for nuclear, but you do you.

Great news. And China alone installing 100 GW this year is remarkable.
530 GW industrial capacity, if fully used, would significantly alter our climate change pathway.
Plus more growth in future years...

I wonder what kind of discounts they use in planning a business case for a battery factory, given the tech and cost is changing so fast.
So many possibly outcomes. I imagine with that kind of risk they price in a lot of fat. Or push some of that risk to those buying the final product.

I'm thinking that as society dissolves, so does government. And borders.
I guess what I'm imagining is that we generally all check out from day to day reality and relationships. That's we don't leave our synthetic realms, and the core operations of the required systems just continue. The Matrix, though hopefully much better.

I expect if the singularity arrives that society will dissolve and people will drift off into their own self created world.

True. I can imagine other medicines not being waved thru as swiftly though. I hope it doesn't hobble developments too much. I've maybe 25 years left and hope to live indefinitely.

I'm unsure if all these opportunities via the various tools creates an exponential development of new medicines. So many options and all take rigorous testing before we get a product.
So, maybe exponential with lots of bottlenecks?

I'm so for keeping disinformation off of social media. The devil is always on the details but there is objective truth out there and dishonest malevolent actors and we are all better off pushing it back at various levels.
