Covid had a big impact on the last couple years, and the overall trend doesn't go up because for example obesity rates went up a lot since 1997. So while some people lived longer thanks to better researched treatments for cancer or other health issues, others lived less due to obesity so it cancelled out. Without that factor it would be around 83, which is where some other healthier countries are at right now. One good example is Japan, which seems to be going on a steady slow increase over time, from 80 years in 1997 to 85 now.

Why wouldn't it? I feel like a model trained specifically on medical cases could eventually be better than doctors at possible diagnosis based on vague descriptions. Only issue is people will trust a person more to do clinical inspections on them, so doctors would still be needed.

>the more realistic your brain believes the virtual reality is , the less you're victim to motion sickness
No, the issue is in the motion mostly. Even in real life if you moved floating like that without actually walking the brain would be confused too. There are solutions like multidirectional treadmills but that's too expensive and wouldn't fit in an apartment. Or teleporting instead of moving like many games do, but that's not an elegant solution.

Many people here seem to take the other extreme from people saying "bots will never replace humans in most fields". Projects take years to develop and nothing is still quite close to AGI so it will take some time.

You would be surprised then. Most people don't like having to work, and if they were offered 50 million they wouldn't hesitate to take them so they don't have to work. It means you can focus on your own projects and self growth without having to work for someone.

You can change the text prompt to choose different colors

Sometimes it just has to guess blindly, it's almost impossible to know the true colors. There are many it gets right based on the texture it's made of, but since clothes can be any color it doesn't have a proper way to know. If you know the sweatshirt has to be red you can specify it in the prompt and it should work.

Feel like the popularity ratings aren't very representative of reality, because it depends on the user demographics of MAL (very American) and the popularity of the site itself at a given time. But I guess there isn't any other easy way to get the "true" popularity.

I saw a thread of Twitter where someone argued that they can't afford such high prices for art and some people replied it should stay that way because art has always been a luxury commodity. It's such a classist opinion coming from people who grew up privileged.
