The only benefit to pedestrians of a Parker administration would be that she will have her own driver.

I think there's more overlap between the establishment white Dems and flaky progressives than you might be assuming here. I'm personally hoping MQS will be a dark horse and end up building the largest coalition, but really... anybody but Gym.

Rhynhart and Domb? I'm not gonna say they have no chance because in a crowded race you can win without broad support but I will be very surprised if Domb is more than a blip and Rhynhart has a very narrow path.

Gym is the Marjorie Taylor Green of the left, a master of performative politics, feigned outrage and shameless hypocrisy. So try to interview her and that's what you're gonna get.

They might actually do more for lowering prices by giving people more flexibility which means greater negotiating power.

Ah. The rarest phrase on Reddit. "I was wrong." Hey, it happens. They actually operate a parking lot at PHL but I don't think they should legally give tickets the way I suggested. But maybe they should.

Let PPA just drive down every five minutes with a plate scanner and mail people tickets. Maybe it's because they're essentially a state agency existing entirely for their own benefit but they're nothing if not motivated.

Been a solid decade since I picked anyone up at the airport but every time I tried to use the cellphone lot I ended up lost in Eastwick on the way back to the terminals. I assume with Google navigation it's better now but still a pain.

They should do this with drugs too. It's so ridiculous that they arrest dealers instead of addicts. Demand creates supply.

So it's a crime to buy sex but it's not illegal to sell sex? Or just not illegal to pretend to sell sex to take some creep's money? The latter I could really get behind.

Sounds like it was a latina immigrant. If you don't understand the baggage of blackface in this country the idea of putting yourself in another person's skin is not intrinsically offensive.

Article says the staff and most students are Hispanic and I'm guessing whoever thought this up was an immigrant paid $12/hour so what do people expect? My kid's daycare did something oddly sketchy like this. Not as bad and I can't remember what but I'm sure Miss Isabella didn't mean any harm.

TL/DR Latina daycare workers who probably get $12 an hour didn't understand the nuances of race relations in the USA.

Material inequality is especially upsetting to teenagers who can't afford cool stuff. There's probably more stress around having to become an adult and pick the right career instead of just knowing you're going to be a farmer or something. Too many choices in general, too much idle time, stuff like that. I was happier as a teenager working my ass off at McDonald's five nights a week than a lot of rich kids.

No but there could be if we funded it. And if treatment centers weren't run by crooks and adherents to scientifically invalid 12-step dogma that would help too.

It's called harm reduction.Safe, legal heroin would reduce the overdoses and violence. I mean back when the pill mills were in business people with opioid addictions got their pills and went to work. It wasn't ideal but when you took that away they ended up on the streets.

We don't have to go that far. Making Suboxone more available would be enough.

Yeah I feel like breathing is a challenge. Going from 35 to 70 in 12 hours is part of it but also just look at the sky. It's very hazy and it's not even that humid. Air quality index is moderate.
