Man I wish...he had some unreal costumes. Satiny with huge shoulders and million inch platform shoes. Funky.
It was 1978 I think (maybe 1979) and it was at the Salt Palace in Utah. Looking for exact dates on the interweb but cannot find. Was indeed quite an entry into the world of arena shows. The word from backstage was that Lionel (whom I love) was a bit snooty and wouldn't talk to the opening act! The rest of the band were cool though.

'Yo man, that's messed up.'

Interestingly enough based in Salt Lake City, which may be why he did not become a star in the rest of the world.

His name is Randy Scott. He had several bands but my favorite was Platinum Plus. Full 70's funky shiny costumes and giant afro wigs. 8-10-ish players with full horn section and dad on drums and vocals. He was a boss.
Thanks for the suggestion and for taking the time to connect.

He had a couple of recordings. I have one of his 45's that I will digitize and upload soon. My first concert was his band opening for The Commodores in an arena, was insane! Thank you for asking and for taking the time to connect here.

Excellent point. One foot in front of the other to get to more knowledge.

Hell, maybe AI can figure out a way to overcome that limitation. Or perhaps that 'limitation' is merely an aspect of external world skepticism and just an illusion.

Hahahaha he would have loved this joke! This is how his music in the '70's was, sweaty, raw, and funky. He was a sexy mf.

Even using the ChatGPT makes me think about the world when much info is produced by the AI. What will we become? Technology is our evolution. Interesting times.

Excellent question. Even better still: Are we the AI from something before us?
