Reply to PSA: Starbucks on Shelburne Rd in South Burlington is only unionized Starbucks in VT by willynillyslide
As a SBUX employee, I can say this whole conversation is obnoxious, and people with 0 knowledge of Starbucks as a company being self righteous is even more obnoxious. Despite what the media tells you, a large contingent of Starbucks employees do not want to unionize.
Starbucks treats their employees very well, especially compared with their competitors. People don't realize that Starbucks competition is actually fast food chains and places like Dunkin. The pay and benefits that even an entry level barista makes is far and above what any of their competitors offer. But people see "Starbucks is big, therefore they must be evil" and just get behind whatever the movement de jour is.
Feel free to downvote me to oblivion, but the social commentary from people that have no idea on what they are talking about is tiring.

There is a post literally every day on here about socks. Please learn how to search, or just go buy some Darn Toughs and leave everyone alone.

40k , even with a roommate would be very difficult if your goal was to actually live in Portsmouth. Portsmouth is one of the highest cost areas in the entire state. You might be ok if you looked in some of the neighboring more rural burbs, but unless your roommate is pulling down some good money, it would be a challenge.

This, I have pairs of Under armour boxer briefs that have lasted 10 years and still look new. They don't break the bank and are super comfy too.

Reply to Need help with fried chicken by DOCoSPADEo
The Wilder in Portsmouth has some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. Really cool place too. They used to serve their fried chicken dinner in a comically large bucket which always attracted looks as it seems ridiculous in that setting. I haven't been there in a hot minute though because they changed head chefs a few months back and their menu got all snooty and expensive. Looks like the fried chicken is still on there.

Signs are dumb and serve no practical purpose other than cluttering up landfills. I doubt 1 person has ever been swayed by some random election sign . I wish every city would ban them, waste of materials and just generally useless.

I used to go to Canada fairly often a few years back. All I did was buy the international credits if I had to make a call, otherwise the data was free...I never had any issues

I've been using Mint in Southern Maine for several years for the wife and I. We love it. As the other person said, it does use TMobile, which includes their awesome 5g and low spectrum LTE which goes a long way. Don't get me wrong, there are indeed dead zones... especially the further you get away from 95. I live in Cape Neddick which is actually a dead zone, but I just use WiFi calling and texting for everything.

I drive it several times per week too...doesn't mean I gotta like it. If I had a nickel for every time I've almost been sideswiped by someone trying to sneak back into the circle after realizing they don't wanna get on 95.

Overly stressful, too many people not understanding how it operates and so many near misses from people that switch lanes in the middle of going around the circle. It's not bad at night, but especially during summer it's terrible.

Thank you for your service! Maine will be here for you when you are ready. I've been to California many times, and while there are parts of it that are gorgeous...as a total package, no state in the country compares to Maine.
