i try to give everyone something, it is indeed sometimes a very large list, i'm usually doing between 10-15

however the full building staff on the "holiday list" is probably 20-25. there were years where i prepared gifts for everyone but it's almost impossible to even find them all so i subsequently stopped doing it like that

so it's more than just the people i interact with, for about 1-2 weeks i actively walk around looking for people. that said despite this if i can't find you over the course of 14 days i'm calling it quits haha

you should honestly just email or call the tax department, they responded to me by email within 24 hours last time i needed something...

the original deadline was indeed Nov 1 but because of the disaster that is our local executive govt the budget was late and therefore the tax bills were late and therefore the due date was changed to nov 28

i suspect either the systems were not properly updated and interest is still being calculated from nov 1 by mistake or whatever silly rule they used to change the deadline from nov 1 to nov 28 purposely didn't forgive interest

there might be conflicting information because:

A. #5 recycling only started a few years ago so old flyers might not be updated

B. some buildings have private trash management arrangements and therefore don't play by the city's rules

i totally forgot about this. the meal kit was really easy and incredibly close in flavor (and texture) to the real thing i was super shocked

the reality is even when i am in the city i can't always eat it in store so i don't always get to eat it at its peak. with the meal kit you actually get to have like 95% of the in store experience

i literally just ordered, it's free shipping and the cost per plate is the same as in store lol

this happens to me all the time too. and god forbid i don't turn when there is a person in the crosswalk, next time i'll buy the snow plow attachment so i can just plow the people to the side??

i will tell you without a doubt that there is not, i'm sorry. if it makes you feel better i even email XFF to try and get a location here, maybe if enough people do it?

no one's noodles are close here.

do you have a car? they are valet only and there was previously an armed robbery of the valet. hard to tell which of the two is more problematic for you if either one is (not being sarcastic, there's crime in any city and all parts of JC and some people don't mind / like doing valet anyway).

the windows are a bit smaller and the units kind of non-standard shapes/layouts, but it sounds like that is specifically what you're looking for so you might be a good fit for it

i have to assume the hoboken stop is some kind of appeasement to the hoboken community. they themselves receive 0 inconvenience, but whereas all of jersey city (and newark etc) are inconvenienced.

if they wanted to reduce lines on weekends they could easily have run a shuttle train between hoboken and newport+exchange for example...

on the other hand the hoboken path station is positioned so poorly for them i do feel kind of bad haha

i have never seen a calculator that does what you're asking for but the one being listed above is virtually useless for that purpose

if you are trying to do it at a high level, just consider the savings to be the 3% NYC city tax

if you want to do it more accurately you should just use turbotax or manually fill out both states' tax forms. the tax rates are slightly different, NJ only lets you claim a certain portion of the NY tax paid as credit, and NJ does not consider certain things as deductible that federal and NY do (HSA and 529 for example)

you can often pay extra for a reserved spot (i.e. you park in the same spot every day) if this is a particular fear of yours for whatever reason. i have never heard of anyone not being able to find a spot in a parking structure when they are a monthly pass holder

while theoretically possible the garage manager is actively trying to manage the load. i have indeed heard of scenarios where the garage refuses to sell any more monthly spots even though there seemingly is space because they are trying to maintain the ratio of monthly vs daily users

i already see the other guy that posted here saying they had some positive experience with seeclickfix got downvoted, but i'll also state i've had mixed but generally positive experiences. i've submitted probably a dozen or more tickets over the past few years.

- resolved with 24-48 hours include broken streetlights, obstructed pathways due to overgrowth, broken traffic signals, clogged sewers

- never resolved include confusing traffic signals or signs, unsafe intersections

it's pretty obvious to me what seeclickfix is good for vs not. the first set are very tactical fixes with people specifically tasked every single day with doing the thing you need fixed, they just don't know it was broken until you tell them.

the second set is more structural, requires policy review, traffic study, police enforcement (god forbid?!). i don't want to oversell the difference because any reasonable person can stand at these intersections and deem them unsafe and think of reasonable solutions, and it IS someone's job to do that. but it's also not hard to see these are inherently differently from potholes.

i plan to keep submitting both forms of ticket either way, i'm glad they redesigned columbus drive for example... i note my personal experience is isolated to downtown.

idk why that other guy chalked it to being some kind of counter-culture idea when you clearly say you don't go anymore because you can't get a table lol

i think the pizza here is excellent Neapolitan, i did their takeout sometimes to avoid the line, that said i find it on the pricey side so tend more frequently opt for other cheaper styles

i actually think porta is pretty decent too but it's not really cheaper so it's only better from the perspective of seating availability haha
