My comment was half tongue-in-cheek but, there is not much of a difference if any. I suspect Hannaford's red dogs are Jordan's.

No. The official (Maine) red hot dog is Jordan's. Hannaford brand is the only alternative. All the others may be red and shaped like hot dogs but, if you grew-up eating red hot dogs, in Maine, they were probably Jordan's and any imitator will be a disappointment.
