Both ELY Center and City Gallery have art exhibitions both ending Sunday (I think). City is physically small, and from there you can walk to ice skating at Skate New Haven, or the ER Brewery. If you instead do ELY, you are steps away from delish brunch bagels at Olmo and the new WitchBitch thrift shop.

I can’t believe the Hamden spots are same ballpark price as the New Haven one’s. Unless you are trying to actively avoid city life there is no reason to go for those Hamden ones. I’d put the Wooster Square ones at the top of your list so you can enjoy life outside of work. If she only Works and Sleeps then yes College and Crown takes the lead for closer proximity! All 4 of the NH ones (including 360 State) are safe.

New Haven city streets/ sidewalks get you to/ adjacent/through all the beauty of the Yale campus or on Yale walkways that are “open” for public access. Use a leash just like on a city sidewalks and you can see everything

I’m going to take a different approach and instead of saying check out a particular attraction I’ll say the answer is Car Culture vs Walkable Community. Through friends, meet-ups, graduations, and Woosta Ice Cats games I’ve spent quite a bit of time in WORC over time. I rec in New Haven to park your car in a neighborhood and walk around to get the vibe. Try Westville Center, basically where Whalley-Fountain-Central-Blake converge and do the same in East Rock (stroll State St and side streets toward Orange St) Others will say do the same Downtown and in Wooster Sq, so I’m just suggesting some additional places Good luck .

This is a long-planned, local, New Havener-focused development which is widely supported by Dixwell’s longtime Black community. We are fortunate to get such a project.
