yeah, I was gonna say, there's a reason their sound has persisted for 25 years and only grows in esteem. Korn and Deftones were progenitors of sounds that can only be copied because the sound is interwoven into the core of everything they do. Re: Pink Floyd, Yes, Prince, NiN etc.
I should tack-on that any major variations to their respective sounds has really only happened because of lineup changes within the bands.
