For what demographic?

I have a toddler, I get woken up 2-3x every night. I also live off a bus route with a road currently covered by a metal plate with a hole beneath it....my life is already filled w a sad amount of sleeplessness that I'm now remembering is not normal.

Sorry for not being clear but I did mean overnight every day. Kind of like how in Boston they do street sweeping overnight in certain areas. I didn't think about the noise though! Good point. Also dang the number of downvotes I got for one slightly misguided idea is hilarious. It's just a conversation, jeez.

I agree in general but I guess they could theoretically do it overnight... Would be hard on people who already have a tough job though and I assume the pay would not increase as compensation for working the night shift.

This list of benefits actually isn't that impressive to me and makes me feel even more that they should get the sick days. I work a far less important job and starting benefits are 20 PTO, 10 sick, 3 personal, 6 holidays plus the week between Christmas an New Years, and then all the other short and long term disability stuff.

If you can't find one in the city, the people at Collingswood Sew & Vac are really nice and you can get to it on PATCO.

Aw sorry about that! I thought I remembered them having cheaper ones in their store at the Bourse but maybe I'm wrong.

Also, $5 is definitely not cheap, but you are getting a tiny piece of original art, and those artists also have to make a living too. The venn diagram of cute local artist cards and cheap cards may be two separate circles, unless you find something made by students.... Maybe get one or two cute original ones and then send the cheaper more generic ones to people on your card list who are less important? Or if you have friends who are into art, you could do a Philly christmas card craft night and make a bunch? Sorry if the unsolicited advice is totally off base and good luck!

If you were in center city you bought a round trip paper ticket from an office in the station before you got on the train. If you forgot to buy it, you could buy a fare from the conductor, who would magically know how much you had to pay.
