I met a lady that misplaced her passport and declared if lost/stolen and then found it. She accidentally took the “lost” one and was allowed to board a plane, but when she got to the other country’s immigration she was put on a plane home. She went home and got her newer passport and went and boarded a flight back. Missed vacation be damned

That makes sense. There have been posts in the past of either Rhode Islanders that rarely come that area or temporary residents that complain and want to cause a ruckus.

I’ve smelled that smelly smell that smells smelly for decades. It’s not a constant thing though

I feel bad for those that live near there. it’s an industrial area for a reason. Oddly enough I never really smell it on my bike rides down Allen’s Ave during the warm weather

Tried 2x to get in and had someone in the union vouch for me. Must have not known the right people. Probably didn’t help that I had an associate degree that cut my apprenticeship shorter than someone off the street.

I ended up getting a job at National Grid so I still am doing something adjacent to my schooling and it’s a union job

It’s a safety precaution. Little kids think they are invincible and if they are playing on the yard they will chase after a ball that goes in the street

The example I was always given was a 5ish year old playing and the ball rolls under the bus. Kid goes to get it and is run over. The monitor is checking to see if there is anything under the bus, they are not doing a in depth examination
