The Mount Washington forecast makes entertaining reading. As I'm posting this comment, it says: "Looking further out, temperatures on Friday will start around 20F below then fall through the day to around 30F below at sunset. Temperatures continue to fall overnight, bottoming out after midnight and into early Saturday. How cold they get is still not quite nailed down as some models are keeping the bullseye of cold more to the northeast over Quebec while others have this sagging further south. On the high end, lows will bottom out at around 35F below while the low end has us bottoming out at around 43F below. There is even the hint of a tropopause fold in our vicinity and if that is the case, lows could dip even further for a brief period with one model this morning hinting at 49F below."

Having done a lot of "content writing" for money, I've developed a nose for hastily thrown-together articles by underpaid hacks. This is one. Grab a bunch of statistics without understanding them. Use words sloppily; what does "consumption of alcoholic beverages has been on a steady incline since 1995" even mean?
It wouldn't surprise me if this article was bought on Fiverr.

Still, sexist name calling should have no place here. It says so in the rules. As I'm posting this comment, 39 people think it's a good thing. I hope I never meet any of these 39.

Friday night will be the worst. Even here, closer to the coast, I'm seeing a prediction of -18. Keeping the cold water tap running a trickle could help to prevent frozen pipes. Obviously, don't go out if you don't have a good reason to, and cover up everything if you must.

Reply to Crowds march through downtown Boston to protest police killing of Tyre Nichols in Memphis by jojenns
Even though the killer cops were black in this case, the protesters are still pushing the claim that racism explains everything. It's true that black people get the short end from law enforcement, with higher arrest and killing rates, but the causes are more complex than "We're white and you're not so we can beat you up."

Renting from a relative, and especially renting from a parent's boyfriend, makes the situation much messier. You have potentially explosive personal relationships on top of a business relationship.

The Puritans believed so strongly in their "priviledges of the Gospel" that they didn't allow competing religions. Mary Dyer was hanged in Boston for preaching Quakerism. Roger Williams had to flee on a winter night to avoid being arrested on charges of heresy.

My initial reactions:
396 is at best confusing. As you say, what do they mean by "biological sex"?
I have doubts about 264. The notion that people can simply assert their "gender" is silly. However, surgery is often a late stage in the transition, and people going through it would like to be known by their new status before that point. I'm undecided on that one.
368 sounds good, but I'd like lawyers to study it carefully for possible unintended consequences.

People keep saying this. It makes no sense. If you avoid Elm Street and South Willow Street, you miss out on most of the city's shopping options (though I wouldn't want to be on much of Elm St. late at night).

An increase from 19 to 34 spread over the state for a year is basically noise. Next year it might drop to 17 and people will brag the number was "cut in half." It doesn't mean much.
For a similar mistreatment of statistics from the right, see this piece on the Burlington, VT "crime wave".

Having different levels of punishment because of the perpetrator's ideas is a very bad path to go down. What unpopular idea might be the next one to be punished when associated with a crime? I fail to see why punching someone for their race should get a greater punishment than punching someone for, say, picketing?

Saying something in a comment about New Hampshire-related content would help. Just looking at the link, I can't see any clue that it has a connection to this state. A podcast discussing stuff in New Hampshire, for instance, would get a better reception.

One more reminder that the Democrats helped set up Bolduc as Hassan's opponent, because they thought he'd be a pushover and don't care what happens to the country if Hassan loses.
