I have heard the footprint for Penn Station was 3x bigger than gsc. If it wasn't so big it would have been less of a target for redevelopement.

looks like ektachrome film. should be used indoors but if that whats in the camera thats what you have to shoot with. the problem was big rolls cost a lot less per pic but it was hard to shoot the whole roll at one time.

my brother farms and has some really high tech equipment. the problem is it all gathers all kinds of statistics and can show yield on every piece of ground. if a tree like that has an impact it will show up.

pretty much yes. a group of people feel they will lose their jobs and starve to death now vs children die of heat stroke in the future. basically a retstructuring of the economy to make less carbon means some people are bigger loser while some are gainers. and the people who lose the most are very vocal about it.

the problem, i think in canada and france, were people in heavily tranportation related work had no alternative way to do transportation except making carbon. that means less transportation is produced and consumed which means they lose their jobs and the checks they got didn't make up for that. I think thats it. I need to look for youtube videos that go into it some more.

I agree but hasn't it been a problem where it's been implemented so far? Main problem I hear is inelastic demand. There is no good alternative for transportation fuel which hits a lot of working class hard, although I'm not sure what rebates have been attempted for them.

How much time could someone spend unshielded without significant effects? Like time spent space walking to fix something .

I'm curious how ship building tech changed from about 1400 to 1600. I have read that steel for tools improved much during that period especially big rip saws that could cut the hull planks so they can be edge joined (carvel).

i wouldn't let the well water from a geothermal system anywhere close to something like a turbine that has precise moving parts. I will look into butane as intermediate.

if you doing steam turbine to make electricity you have to condense the low pressure steam that came out of turbine to be able to pump it back into the boiler. its part of the carnot cycle and limits heat engine efficiency to no more than 40%.

I don't think the finding ore was the big problem back then. it was moving it. a whole transportation system had to be invented to get the industrial revolution running. first it was riverboats and canals, then railroads.

my money is on a harrow. sickle mower has lots of moving parts and needs to be kept very carefully in shed to keep it from rusting. harrows are often left outside. also a sickle mower had seat on far right side of machine, directly behind horse, that way sickle extended to the left and horse and non cutting part of machine wasn't trampling down hay when mowing.
