I'm not sure I'm following. The chart already depicts deaths per 100k people, so that variability in population does not affect the reading of the data.

Yes, a bit from CZ but it does not make up the difference.

It is a change in demand. They rely more on Norway, but not much. They significantly reduced demand overall. Another visualization:

I think it is less a reduction in demand and more a combination of wanting to get out of Russia gas + lack of supply elsewhere.

No :D Just didn't want to make it too long. And since the spreadsheet is linked in the source, anyone can play with it and access the data.

Of course!
The source is Our World in Data, but you can see the underlying spreadsheet and dataset here (and copy it if you want). The definition of the continent also comes from Our World in Data.

Again, the chart is in absolute percentage points increase, not in %. So if Luxembourg had gone from 1% to 1.7% it would have increased by 0.7 p.p and would not have made it to the top 10.

It is true. Still, there are the top 10 and the increases are in percentage points. So even if you start from 0, going to 70% (like Luxembourg) is impressive.

btw, if you click on the tool you can duplicate the spreadsheet to yourself. It has all the source data there.
