i was curious what was required for squatters rights in pa, so i looked it up. you would have to be there for 21 years, and during that time, not leave for more than a week stretch, and the neighbors and property owners would have to be notified. and there are a slew of simple things that could make it void, such as the property being posted..

so it would be pretty hard, if not impossible, to pull off. but i wish you well in your journey.

you might not know that you are stating these things, but you are.

you got me. hail corporate.

keep pretending that ugi is inflating prices because they have a mono... ohh, im sorry. a lock on gas because they are the only person that can provide it thus are able to inflate their prices.

again. for the dim witted....

ugi cannot raise their prices despite having a mono... oops. a lock on their product, because it is a heavily regulated product.

you are wrong. have a nice day.

Ah, so, you've dropped your monopoly angle?

the propane angle was another way to explain why your monopoly statement was silly. if nat gas was inflated to any meaningful degree there are a ton of propane companies that would be a direct competition to natural gas customers. you seemed to not understand that, so i went elsewhere to show you another reason you were wrong.

>regulated by the PUC

so what you are saying is that propane is not regulated by the puc, but natural gas is? thanks for proving my point. propane is not regulated because there is no monopoly on it. there is a fierce competition that keeps the price low.

natural gas is regulated. so your comment about it being a monopoly that allows inflated gas prices... while reddit upvote bait... is simply wrong.

dude, you are flat out wrong. whenever there is not competition for a utility (including natural gas), the rates are literally regulated by the government and they have to request price hikes. This includes UGI.

the idea that they are inflating the prices because there is no competition is straight up wrong. argue it all you want, it wont make you right. i cant spell it out any clearer.

id definitely consider doing some of the film to hold yourself over. its not the greatest looking stuff, but who cares. it will save you hundreds just dealing with it the rest of this year.

that or even get some quality full coverage curtains for the original windows, and getting in the habit of keeping your blinds closed when you arent in the room.

we have a pellet stove, but we can literally cut the amount of fuel we burn in half by keeping blinds shut vs open.

i know you didnt ask for this advice, but it might help you out.

i mean, thats not really how it works with heating fuels. there is always competition. and if not, there are likely dozens of propane companies that would undercut them if their prices were that inflated and would be more than happy to convert your shit over to burn propane.

prices are high in the area because prices are high everywhere.

an absolute fuckton of them do just that though. thats what happens when you cant find help because you dont pay well, and you cant fire anyone because of red tape and no one to replace them.

> Most of the people I know of who work for government agencies work their asses off

thats a nice anecdote, but i can easily come back with one of my own. ive been all over different city and state govt buildings and ive seen some of the most lazy do-nothing workers.

come work in the civil engineering field and tell me in 2 years that the people working with PennDOT's reviewing department are hard workers. these are people with degrees, not thoughtless jobs, and decent salary.

if it took such little time to find a link to the story, shouldnt it annoy you less?

this type of abridged factoid shit is exactly the type of post that i subscribe to this subreddit for, and we have a mod, of all people chastising OP for providing such awesome content.

there are a thousand random photos posted to this sub a year, many much less pennsylvania specific... and this is the one you choose to demand more effort on?

correct. very few cars also have the feature that turns headlights/taillights on when you turn the wipers on.

no vehicle has an auto mode that turns on just your headlights. full stop. it doesnt exist. that would be insanely dangerous. if thats what is happening in your car your tail lights are burnt out.

you also can not turn off your DRLs. there is no suuch thing as "auto drl". you either have them, or you dont.

on some toyotas the drls are the parking lights. thats how my tundra is. instead of a dimmer than normal headlight, its a brighter than normal parking light.

we had a similar year rav 4 and sold it. i have a handful of toyotas and they are all the same. your rav 4 has an auto mode where when it gets dark the headlights turn on and your taillights turn on.

if it doesnt work on yours, something is broken.

to test it... if you turn the lights to auto, you should be able to start the car, and toss a rag over the sensor on the dash. few seconds later the lights will all come on.

in fact thats how i turn the lights on when it is rainy during the day. i use my sunglass cleaning rag to block out the sensor. that way i dont have to worry about turning the lights off when i get home.

yeah. dude reads like someone who grew up there and is so desperate to get out that they are blinded to what the area offers by what they think other areas offer more of...

ive lived in about 7 different states, from big cities to small towns, and york has a pretty impressive food/downtown scene. ive been to a few shows out that way when i lived in philly, and every time we went out there, we were impressed by the food options. like. no shit, its not philly. but for its size its not devoid of culture.

i also lived in reading for a while... pretty much the heart of authentic mexican food in the region... and roburrito is fucking legit. ohh... im sorry. they dont have $1 tacos de cachete. turns out you can have mexican joints that arent authentic. its called variety.

(i also dont want to blow the guys mind and tell him that their are also authentic mexican places down there.)
