I watched it. It was great. The opener was a blast, I love musicals, and that lady looked divine. Also, everybody needs to listen to Trombone Shorty.

Didn't they do a plot line where they originally hinted someone resurrected from the dead or something? The preacher guy.

Nobody wants to do fairy tales in Hollywood. They'd try to make it a fantasy epic like the LotR trilogy and lose some of the simpler charms of the stories. With that said, there's absolutely great material in the Chronicles of Prydain and Taran's journey from boy to man absolutely should be translated into a good work some day.

Reply to comment by Bloq in How Did AT&T's $100 Billion Time Warner Deal Go So Wrong? by ix0WXOeip4V6
Yes but in this case Disney had multiple other revenue channels to subsidize their undercutting of competing streaming apps. ATT was losing cable subscribers and simultaneously cut off revenue channels on streaming. And HBO as a brand never had the widespread appeal that Disney did.
jl_theprofessor t1_iwzzxco wrote
Looks like they tried to replicate Netflix too fast. At least one unforced error was cutting of multiple lucrative licensing deals to shove everything onto HBO Max because they thought it would drive an almost unfathomable number of subscriptions. But that’s not how these new streaming services work in relation to audience and I think a lot of people were more frustrated by the loss of their favorite shows rather than compelled to follow them to HBO Max.

I did a little digging to see if my diet had enough Vitamin D in it. Turns out, the three eggs I eat every day as a part of my salad does indeed have more than enough Vitamin D to meet my daily recommended limits! Makes me a little happy since I don't get to spend as much time outside as some other people.
