The ONLY successful hardware MS has EVER produced has been their mice and keyboards. Everything else has been a dumpster fire. UltimateTV (Tivo Competitor), Kin, Windows Phone, Zune...EVERY last time they get into hardware, they fail. And yes, I am including Xbox here. (RRoD anyone?)

Of course, their software isn't so great these days either...companies like MS continue because of inertia, NOT because they are making the best stuff out there....and because when anyone comes close to making a product that is actually competitive, they just crush them into oblivion, or buy them out.

Loved him in every role I saw him in...he owned every single scene he was in! The first time I saw him was in Tron as Sark, or possibly as the Ultimate Evil in Time Bandits (he was the perfect choice for that role!), and probably the most memorable performance to me was his role as Gul Madred from Star Trek: TNG. (you can see my taste runs to genre films and TV!)

Looking at his IMDB listing, it's amazing the volume of work he did...including quite a few voice acting roles! He will be missed.

Best of Both Worlds - Star Trek: TNG

I don't think you can have a conversation like this without this included. When it aired, it left fans with their jaws on the floor for an entire season break before we got to find out what happened. Absolutely one of the best TV cliffhangers ever!

  1. a lot of the army isn't getting paid, and they aren't happy about it
  2. it really doesn't matter how many men you throw into combat if you don't have weapons or even warm clothes for them...or food.
  3. the death toll is horrific, and the Russians know it.

I don't expect this to end well for the Russians.

There's a huge difference. The US government doesn't own a stake in FB. Also, the Chinese ARE harvesting US user data and sending it straight to the CCP and transmitting the data overseas with no oversight or regulation. There is plenty of "hard proof" but some people are more distrustful of a democratic US government than an authoritarian dictatorship for some reason.

Yeah, no. We can HOPE this is the case, but we really don't know. We could be at war with China at any time now. We could have something happen with Russia. We could have some unforeseen pandemic emerge. We could have a natural disaster.

Point being, while it IS a nice thought to think the future will be better than the past, this is FAR from guaranteed, and there's another saying, "The past is prologue." Or, "Don't count your chickens before they hatch"!

I have been pondering a switch to T-Mobile's 5G home internet service...slower than my current 1G (ish) Comcast internet, but I have never been thrilled with my service quality anyway. Soooo...if they up my price, I am gone. I don't even have any equipment to return, so all I need to do is place a phone call.

It's a DEEP rabbit hole to go down, but YES, what you eat most definitely affects your mental state!

Unfortunately, our current health care system emphasizes synthetic drugs over nutrition, so you won't get a lot of info from doctors on this, but there are a LOT of resources available to learn more. Plenty of good scientific studies out there to back up the claims too!

The short version is we need to eat a LOT less sugar, a LOT less processed food, a LOT less carbohydrates, and more whole foods, with an emphasis on vegetables.

FSR is a competitor to DLSS, as much as some don't want to admit it, the quality differences are minor (and getting slimmer with each revision).

CUDA matters not at all to gamers. nVidia keeps trying to walk the line between a consumer (gaming) card and "Pro" cards...and the consumer cards never fail to fall seriously short when it comes right down to it.
