I'm curious, CloudBoy, what's your take on New England Weather Guy on Facebook (if you're familiar him.) He's usually much better than the various apps and news stations for accuracy.

I would ask if you are on more NH centric groups (Facebook, reddit, etc) and thus see more posts about it vs posts on VT centric groups. I have family and coworkers on both sides of the river Connecticut, and it's pretty even with power loss from what I hear.

I believe I live in a recipient town, quick Google shows our students get about 75% more in state aid per pupil than the NH average. Of my tax rate, 22 bucks is to local ed, and 2 bucks is to state. Just because we're getting your money doesn't mean they aren't taking a shit ton of ours too. The whole state needs a massive overhaul of our educational funding system.

I quite disagree on Black Mountain Burger. Stopped there after a hike once. My bison burger (cheddar, bacon) was a 7/10 and was a bit dry even for lean bison, her Hawaiian burger (teriyaki, pineapple) was like a 5/10, mediocre sauce and the saddest little pineapple slice. Very disappointing based on reviews. I will say the fries were very good.

Highly recommend starting with the list known as The Terrifying 25 (but really, don't do that.) For some of the nicer hikes with a view, look up which mountains have fire towers. Not easy easy, but usually decent compared to the Whites.

Like the one time I was doing a repair and a dude's finger tip fell out of the door on me. The homeowner tried to fix it himself, finger got pinched between the door sections and nipped the end of his finger right off. Lifted up the door to repair it and about a quarter inch of very flat finger landed on my shoulder.

Used be in the business.

Service call fee: $85

Labor: $85/hr, service call covers half an hour then billed by 15 minute increments.

Springs (that's what is broken) $75 for the pair

Potentially new cables at $35

Potentially new pulleys at $20

This is all 2010 prices, so probably add 25% for inflation and whatnot.

Sounds like someone bought a card, got scammed by a catfish, and now is trying to claim it's someone else's doing.

Let me guess, those porn popups also "just happened" to you, and you don't know why they are there.
