That's what's up. I was just absolutely horrified to see the lack of responsibility of this info being out on the desk. Realistically, could I read one of those numbers and memorize? Probably not. But the lack of... idk, ... those forms shouldn't have just been loose and out like that. Just makes me wonder where else they are loosely handling PCI. I've been wanting to leave PCHC for the past year and this was the bump I needed to start looking.

This was just a couple days ago at PCHC. They wanted me to fill out a basic info form, it's yearly. One of the questions is your social security number.

I refused bc she had this pile of them that she was collecting, just... out. No folder, nothing. When I walked up she didn't put them away.

I know it's kind of minor but I also think it's major. Just treating people's PCI with no regards.

I'm afraid to report it bc I know PCHC will retaliate against me.

When I said something to her about this she had the look of someone who realized they fucked up. Idk. Idk if I'm making a big deal of it.

It just really put me off.

ETA I'm so, so sorry this happened to you. And they've got legal teams like crazy. Something similar happened to me and not only did pchc blame me but they pretty much wouldn't let me book apps for 6 months. I'm so sorry.

Fuck me , but Nestlé (one of their companies) owns Poland Springs now.

So that.

Okay I have no research I just hate nestle and now I guess Poland Springs too

It's likely chemical contaminants, after a brief Google search. Seems like ps has been in and out of court for lawsuits regarding where the water actually comes from and stuff like that

ETA fuck me running I'm dead wrong

Seriously interested. Would 2 Esa cats be accepted? They use pellets and are trained and fixed. I'm fully employed with a reputable, local company. Please let me know. Thank you

Fellow ma transplant-12 years. Obligatory --I love Moxie and do not have and summer homes.

Anyway--- so you moved here from MA I see to southern Maine. The rest of us up north refer to it as southern MA lol. I digress.

Things are different here. The public services you're used to in MA aren't going to be the same. For example, MA was planned in such a way that anywhere you're in the state, you are 20 min away from a hospital (traffic may screw with that number, but distance wise you would be 20 min from any hospital). Not true here. But, most of the first responders are trained up to emt I or p. MA phased out emt I because it's not needed. Me medics are encouraged to become at least emt I so they can do more as you're not always so close to a hospital.

I'm a few hours north of you. In 2016 there was a wind storm in October. Knocked my power out for 3.5 days. Most of town was out for 5. There was not rain or snow, but man we live in a state known for trees! You know?

Instead of coming on reddit, I used candles in my bedroom and I got avocados and canned chicken and made myself a sandwich haha. Went down to get coffee for 3 mornings to warm up with everyone else at the one place that had power.

People are right, if living here isn't for you maybe you should go back. Things are different here, this isn't MA.

You'll want to be warm when you arrive esp in January. I moved here from another new England state over a decade ago and you'll need the coat, the hat, the gloves, yeah.

I recommend also getting winter cleats for your boots so you can walk on the ice
