Nah, sorry, this is like being upset because someone referenced the end of Romeo and Juliet.

All of those things are true and are even more of a reason why it’s ridiculous you consider discussion of those works to be a spoiler. The reading experience of Homer’s works won’t be diminished because you know the plot points ahead of time.

My favorite King book is “It” so I guess I disagree, but if you like his shorter work I do highly recommend “The Long Walk.”

I mean, there’s a difference between someone saying “I don’t like Colleen Hoover and think her writing is bad” and saying “you’re stupid because you like Colleen Hoover.” One is stating an opinion which is fine but the other is specifically insulting someone else for their opinion. I think that’s what they’re getting at.

Agree completely. if people like her, good for them. They should be able to enjoy her books.
But I tried to read a couple chapters of one of her books and it truly gave 50 shades a run for it’s money on worst writing I’ve ever seen.

I prefer borrowing. I love libraries and want to support them, and it’s more convenient for me and free, so that’s a plus.
But if I bought, say, the first book in a series to try it out and want to continue, I prefer to then buy the other books in that series so I have it complete, instead of buying some and borrowing some.

Oh man, Catch-22 is one of my all time favorite books but I enjoyed it from the start.
I think if you’re really struggling to get through a book it is completely fine to stop reading the book.

Some library systems allow you to get a library card online, so you may be able to get one even if you can’t physically get to a the library. Then you can use the Libby app for e-books and audiobooks.

For me it was both Catch-22 and The Poisonwood Bible.
