Reply to Russell T Davies confirms Doctor Who spin-offs: "Time for the next stage" by ImpossibleGuardian
The possibilities really are endless.
I'd love a Donna Noble comedic spinoff where she investigates alien phenomena, only to realize they're hoaxes or elaborate pranks.
Or a show with some past companions who form their own alien task force and patrol the Earth in the Doctor's stead, like a Torchwood 4.0.

WWDITS is one of the best recent sitcoms, and that cast continues to knock it out of the park, IMO.
The IT Crowd is one of my favorite shows, and if you're a Matt Berry fan you're in for a great time (though just FYI his character doesn't show up until season 2).

Friends. As much as I loved the show, and as much as people say they want it, no one should in any way to try to reboot/revive it.

Doom Patrol is such a crazy weird show, and Michelle Gomez fits right in. She's always brilliant, but she just knocked it out of the park with her scenes in this week's episode with young Rita.
My honorable mention would be Diane Guerrero, who consistently amazes as Crazy Jane!

Well deserved; a gem of a show that let her (and James Marsden and Linda Cardellini) shine - through *every* emotion. Also glad she finally got to re-team with Katey Sagal, if only for part of an episode.

I was really surprised at how much I liked Stargirl, too; and same - once Arrow was done, I only cared about Legends of Tomorrow because the other shows were such a slog...

Not shocking, but still disappointing. I thought Stargirl should have been the model for all the Arrowverse shows - 13 episodes max, with tighter storytelling and character focus. If only The Flash had fewer episodes per season it might not have gone so dramatically off the rails...

Reply to Return to Gotham: In Its Scariest Episodes, Batman: The Animated Series Went “Over the Edge” by PetyrDayne
In a nutshell, Batman: TAS was not afraid to go dark.
I remember watching House and Garden with the plant monsters, Batman's eyes going wide when he discovered what they really were, and them dissolving with weed killer... true nightmare fuel.
But that's part of the reason the show is so popular - it wasn't afraid to go dark or crazy (remember when Catwoman actually became a cat?)

Yeah the support group is what made me think of all the past companions still out there. As someone who didn't watch the original series I think it would be fun to see those companions and flashbacks to earlier adventures. DW had such a rich (if not convoluted) history - they should tap into it!
