For what it’s worth, I think the bone crushing cold a couple of weekends ago should mean a much better season for browntail this summer regardless of this weekend’s temp. My understanding is that 48 hours below 10 degrees has a significant impact on their reproduction.
If anyone has different or better info on this please correct me as a reply.

Reply to What should I know!!!!! Hi everyone, I’m moving to Maine to attend USM in Maine. I’m Canadian and am hoping to stick around for a while - long graduate program!! Give me some info I need to know!! Thanks kindly by Professional-Try8144
Welcome to our wonderful state! My sister went to USM and got a great education. You’re moving to a city with amazing food and friendly people, and I think you are going to love it. If you’re friendly to and accepting of others you will have a great time.
Maine is a state where you learn the specifics as you go. Go with the flow and be willing to lean in and you’ll feel at home in no time.

Look man, if you don’t give new things a try, things aren’t going to change. Seems like you’re shooting down everything that’s out of your current comfort zone. But your comfort zone isn’t giving you what you want.
If you’re not willing to go to a social place with friendly people with interests that match yours, I really don’t know what to tell you.
