Finish the story:
>Chu said he believes he is more qualified than Tyszkiewicz on paper. For example, there are different levels once becoming an actuary: The first level is an associate, which requires passing seven preliminary actuarial exams and then meeting a few other requirements.
>Chu is a fellow, which comes after passing three additional fellowship exams, he said. He is listed with the qualification by the Society of Actuaries, with a specialty in the public sector and pensions.
>Tyszkiewicz, though, is only at the lower apprentice level, according to the SOA
So the out of state candidate who got the job has spent 33 years at a lower level. He is in fact less qualified than Chu. The panelists never said Chu was less qualified - they said he was young (protected category) and he made some of them uncomfortable (because he talked about his husband). He could easily win this suit.

Finally, I agree with a cop. This is such a waste of money. The Mayor's been crowing about how we're in this terrifying fiscal crisis but we're shilling out for a new fleet? The fuck for?

I do hand that to de Blasio. He did that show every single week. He always took questions. It was a consistent spot for people to reach him. Eric Adams is all over the place, focusing mainly on cheesy shock jocks to just love him.

The only people who will subscribe to this newsletter are the journalists who will be reporting on it. Great use of city resources to boost the fragile ego of a single man.

You keep replying to comments about adults dating teenagers with your "age is just a number" comments and you're confused as to why you seem like a massive red flag? This story isn't about age gaps. It's about preying on teenagers. If you actually thought that was abhorrent you wouldn't be spending so much energy talking about your older wife.

I'm talking about adults dating teenagers. Not age gaps between 30 year olds. If you met your wife when she was 18 and you were 26 (or visa versa), that's pretty gross though.

So many people telling in themselves in this comment section. There's really something special about adults with life experience who want to date teenagers fresh out of school. BuT iTs TeChNiCaLLy LeGaL. Yea, and you're still a creep. It takes a special 24 year old, for example, who prefers the company of a teenager with no life experience to someone their own age.

...I beg you to recognize the difference between a 49 year old dating a 43 year old and a 24 year old dating an 18 year old. This is a lot of mental gymnastics to excuse an adult dating a teenager.

You don't know the difference between dating an 18 year old teenager right out of highschool and someone past college age? 🚩

Some things can be technically legal but still morally and ethically wrong. I don't like the Post either, but this isn't a "spin." You should seriously question any 26 year old who dates or marries an 18 year old.

It's not really a problem though, is it? They still made massive profits just less than they wanted to. I know boards demand growth growth growth at all costs whether it's possible or not. Cutting jobs was just a quick and easy way to drum up short term profit to please the masters. Maybe one day public companies in America will stop functioning like pyramid schemes, but I doubt it.

Ding ding ding! This is a plot to drum up more business and enmesh NYC and our Mayor with their plans to our disadvantage. Anyone thinking JP Morgan or Goldman Sachs or any similar company is working in good faith with the city government was born yesterday.

I check the salary on SeeThroughNY every time I see the city or some news organization praise some quaint and cheery city worker. Almost always they're paid a tad over minimum wage despite decades of service. It's foul.

How does this help small businesses when landlords and real estate companies refuse to lower commercial rent allowing businesses to have storefronts? Or even rent office space at reasonable prices? Part of the reason they struggle in this city is the batshit insane rents they're being charged.

And you should care if the city is paying this guy who has dedicated decades of his life to the city a substandard wage.

This article is from August.
By the way, the city only pays this guy $18/hour. He's worked for the city for decades and he'll retire destitute after this, even with the high tier pension. That's how much the city appreciates this guy they volunteered to have a puff piece written about.

He has 33 years experience at a low level of qualification without specialty in public sector pensions, which Chu has. Chu also works in the office in question, making him far more knowledgeable on how it's managed.
>Tyszkiewicz, though, is only at the lower apprentice level, according to the SOA.
