There’s an ALDI in Danbury.

Tesla batteries are expected to last 300-500,000 miles. Just about any car at around 200k mikes has depreciated severely and is likely facing some major repairs. I’d call this close to a wash. That being said, long trips with an EV are more of an experience- you’re not getting there as quickly and will need to enjoy some parking lots. EVs are not quite a full replacement for many.

Not a date night, but still a fun thing if you’re into animals:
Goat walks. They give you a goat on a lead and you go on a nice walk with it. You can also feed and play with the baby goats.

I’ve been 3 times and just don’t get the appeal. It’s mediocre pizza-decent, not great, not bad. There’s not much else around there so that’s the only appeal I see.

There may be more down times ahead, but there very well could be many more good times. Great big rollercoaster of emotion and experiences. No appreciation of light without some darkness. Thank you for posting, it brightened my morning.

Agree, although after years of stews baked goods being brought into my work, I’m no longer impressed. Usually no problem walking right through there without temptation.

Knowledgeable opinions! Thank you. Ill counter that with - I saw a picture of Mr Leonard himself at a farm. Those cows looked great! The meat has to be fresh!
I’ve had better luck with stews vs Whole Foods as far as seafood and meat. And better prices, but since you’re here, can you steer me in a better direction? I’m between Danbury and Norwalk. I’ve liked Norwalk Stews meat better than Danbury but it’s close.

Their meat and fish are usually higher quality. That’s my main thing at Stews.

Stew Leonard’s is often more expensive than Whole Foods- especially for produce. You need to be an educated consumer in there. Sometimes there are good deals, sometimes it’s just really high. Quality is consistently good though- that’s worth something. Edit: typo. Advisors / educated.

They’re pretty big names and have been kicked around in the news / social media for years. Dalio doesn’t exactly shy away from media exposure. Maybe you’re only noticing mention of them now, but I know way too much about both Ray Dalio and Bridgewater for someone with no real interest in either.

Some good points. Im not pro being the person to start the gossip chain. If it’s brought up, I’ll discuss it to a point though.

I’ve known people who regularly wear cowboy hats in CT. No one cares or if anything they might think it looks good. If you’re from TX especially! I think we’re less judgmental about different looks than many parts of the country. I hope so anyway.

I agree. I’d also love to know how someone values something like this though. Morbid curiosity is definitely a thing I’d say we all take part in. I’m not sure if that’s valuable though. Maybe on some level it is since so many are into it? My judgement is not on the viewer, it’s on the poster.

Ehhh. It was posted without comment. That’s a “hey, look at this” post. OP may have commented later, and they may have had hopes of raising general awareness by posting, but without that context it doesn’t initially appear so. There was no “honest discussion” brought up by OP. If that is your intent, you’d tend to actually say that.
I don’t think there are many people who aren’t aware that there’s a lot of people out there suffering and many who take their own life. Simple awareness doesn’t do anything. If you’ve ever been involved in anything super tragic or known anyone who has, having it appear in the news can make it even more difficult. Edit: adding: I’m in no way saying I’m right here. I’m just stating my opinion. I appreciate the discussion.

Of course. I’m not talking about mainstream media though. It doesn’t mean that the fine people of Reddit, who don’t get advertising dollars, need to perpetuate it.

I fully get your point, but there’s also the “why” aspect. Is it helpful to anyone to know this information? Is it just rubbernecking? You choose to have your actions add value or not. If they don’t add value, should you do it? Ultimately that’s of course up to you.

I don’t know why you keep chirping back. Lots of assumptions and projection outta you along with attempts at passive aggressive BS.
Someone committing a crime is not comparable. If you can’t see that, again… do better.
