All of those things are society wide effects. Everyone needs lighting.

Most of us have replaced all the 60w-100w bulbs in our homes with brighter 5-8w led bulbs.
All kinds of consumer goods now operate on much less energy and do more work for us. Look at computer chips. Look at almost anything that requires electronic circuits.
The air conditioner I just bought has a newer type of motor that uses around 1/3rd of the power of my old air conditioner and cools better.
A lot of consumer spending is build around the idea of things being more efficient. HVAC units, water heaters, fridges, etc.
I could go on. Electricity per kw/h is going to keep going up in price over time for quite a long time... I don't get your attitude on this, unless you own a power plant and set the prices :)

If parentheses are used most of this confusion immediately evaporates. A person can still remember how to do math decades after forgetting the "order of operations."
If someone wanted the answer to 1+2x4+3 I'd ask them why they wrote it out in a way that is so easy for typical humans to misinterpret.
May not be helpful, but my point is, avoid needless confusion if possible. One does this with parentheses. I'm not sure I can think of an example other than a math class where it would be advantageous to avoid parentheses. Long live parentheses.

I hope it works out for you.
Can I ask what it was about the advantage plan you found to be advantageous? I've seen examples where people effectively pay less per month for the plan, and then get sick, and THEN realize how much coverage they lost vs the traditional medicare plan.

Can I ask what you are on about? Did you read the article? Medicare Advantage plans overcharged our government lots and lots of times, typically via rules those insurance companies had a hand in crafting.
The fact that one or two people write on reddit about having a good experience means almost nothing in comparison. These two people have no clue how much a comparable medicare plan would have cost or what that coverage would have been.
Medicare Advantage plans exist because they milk money from the patients and government and coerce providers to do more and more for free.

That seems somewhat extreme to me; paint the walls and ruin the look because maybe bugs?
I bought a house with a white painted brick fireplace. A lot of hard work later and obviously it was painted but has a rustic look to it.
