This answer gets shot down every time, but there are a very few long trucks that aren't tall, but there are very few trucks that are short enough to not be stopped by a bar/chain chlurtain that are still long enough to get stuck in the Notch.

Yeah, let's be real, because all of the businesses in Vermont aren't part of the skiing industry or skiing-adjacent industries.

Collective bargaining rights are the foil to corporations' ability to lobby the federal government.

Vermont doesn't need more business from companies that choose to do business here because they can exploit Vermont residents more than they can exploit residents of another state, it needs businesses that can pay a thriving wage, and unions are a way to guarantee that. Almost no businesses are just going to hand over a thriving wage without being made to.

I can assure you that the cookie dough at the very least is made in South Burlington. Rhino Foods is right across the street from Burton, and it's where all of the cookie dough is made.
I worked there for three days as a temp, and it was miserable.

When I was making their ads for one of the local newspapers, there were multiple ads every single week for various HC positions, and they always had exhaustive lists of qualification requirements, but never listed salaries. The only places that didn't list salaries/rates (and I'm sure this is still the case) were the companies that weren't competitive.
I was just on a job search between November and February, and I never once even considered applying for jobs that didn't list the salary. It isn't worth the time only to realize that they're offering below market rates.

I feel like 90% of the road rage on 89 would disappear if people would just treat the passing lane like a passing lane instead of a second lane to go the same speed as the person next to them. You know, follow the law about "Keep Right Except to Pass"?

The geology museum by UVM has an old bottle with one gigantic sugar crystal in it, too.

I've had enough center-console syrup grow chunks to keep opened syrup in the fridge now. It sucks having to strain it and re-boil it.
