Sell the car. Both commutes are short walks. The T is falling apart, but Boston is extremely walkable.

Reply to Wu wants to cut fares at Boston’s commuter rail stations. Is that really a good idea? (NO PAYWALL) by GlobeOpinion
How about they actually collect the fares? Most of the time I ride the commuter rail the conductors don't ask me for a ticket.

A little bit of rain doesn't stop anything - it will all happen as planned (would need a big storm to cancel anything and doesn't look like that will happen tonight).

Reply to I accidentally broke my mother's favorite cup, I'm thinking of buying a new one for the New Year, can anyone recommend a good shop for similar dishes in the city? by Agent-Gosdepa-USA
I doubt anything by Ikea or Williams Sonoma would not have their markings on the bottom.

Reply to comment by Massui91 in Worth coming to visit in December? by Blondie9956
December is great in Boston, not sure why others disagree. The museums are all open as usual, many areas are "dressed up" for the holidays with trees and lights, there are holiday markets to visit, as mentioned above there are holiday performances, and although it may be cold it is still fine weather for walking around.

I once was away for Thanksgiving and found that the fancy hotel buffet dinner was actually very nice (although pricey).

Reply to I'm going to be staying in downtown Boston this week/weekend. How safe is it day versus night? I want to know if I can walk places for dinner/coffee myself alone. Sorry if this doesn't belong in this sub. by Euclid1859
Daytime, dinner, coffee fine - then go to bed at 11 like the rest of the city and you will stay safe!

Tattes and Flour both have great sandwiches - I have had several - will run you around $13 or so for just the sandwich.
