That’s what the police are telling reporters. We wouldn’t have data yet because those laws haven’t been active for long enough.

The advice is to not add to the free roaming bird population yet another social space to gather, as birds by nature stay in fairly isolated groups, but will co-mingle outside their flocks with even other species when food sources are extraordinary rich compared to those they’re used to otherwise in more natural settings. This isn’t a new idea, it’s well established and accepted by experts. Don’t add to the problem. Birds don’t just go around greeting every bird in their city/state.

It does work and is suggested by experts every time this happens with other bird pathogens of concern.

FYI: until a vector of spread is discovered, all those in suspected affected regions or near them should take down all bird feeding stations, empty bird baths and cease all feeding activities at home and public to avoid encouraging birds to gather and spread it more.

It's also likely a very good clue/hint as to how more and more complex primordial organisms can emerge from simpler molecular/organic systems that aren't quite what we'd define as living.

BSL4 labs, the labs that can safely contain samples from pathogens that are high risk, cost hundreds of millions of dollars each to build. There's not enough money to convert every lab into a site that can test and accept such samples.

She advocated against vaccines on her blog, and is still being investigated to see if she advised patients against vaccination, her license is being suspended while that investigation continues. She claimed she has never advocated for or against vaccines to her patients, but belongs to an anti vaxx group and has admitted to lying to try to get at least one patient treatments that aren't vaccines and don't work.
> She is affiliated with a prominent national anti-vaccination group and often suggests COVID vaccines are not only ineffective but harmful. She called the U.S. CDC a quote “criminal agency” and has accused federal health officials of conspiring to suppress the use of hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin to treat COVID in order to push newer, more expensive treatments.

I more referring to things like his admin adopting the Clean Air Act, forming the Environment Protection Agency, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and proposing more regulation during any presidency since the New Deal. Zero republicans would do those things now, and that sits him squarely as one of the most liberal presidents in modern times, though yes, he certainly was a solid conservative in many other manners, especially race and class relations. And sheer number of crimes.
